Buses and trains in the Stavanger region of Norway
Railway services:
There is a regular local train service between Stavanger and Egersund, with many stops including Sandnes, Klepp and Bryne, in the Jaeren.
There is also a long-distance express service from Stavanger to Kristiansand, with some trains going on to Oslo.
Bus and coach services:
There are extensive regular bus services within Stavanger, Sandnes and the other towns.
There is also a network of long-distance coach services that connect the towns, for example Kystbussen runs between Stavanger and Bergen - often stopping at Haugesund, and linking with Ryanair flights.
